Picture 3 is a definite 'WOW', very finely detailed.
Was it a very bright day, ISO 50, Aperture f 8.0 and Shutter at 1/200s.

Would like to understand - the insect is resting on the leaf. At f8.0 there should be a great DOF, why is it that the insect is in focus but not the leaf?

Interesting to see that c750 has a ISO 50 setting. What additional accessories did u use with the camera? Closeup filters, external flash??

I set to Manual mode with f/8 & 1/200 sec. I was using a closeup filter (500D) and the shallow DOF allows the object to get in focus only.

I guess many people want to know my setup. Here is it as follows :
C750 + Canon 500D (Handheld due to no lens adapter)
Achiever + Omni-Bounce (from 550EX)
Manual mode
1/160 sec
f/8
Handheld
