Default Write speed fo the c5050

Was just wondering, couldn't find it in the manual, what is the max read/write speed of the camera?

Coz I am thinking of getting a >30x CF card, wonder if it fully make use of the CF's card speed, or not I will get a lower speed.
No point spending the extra $$$

Anypne out there tried to take a raw shots with your CF card?
how long did it take and what is the brand/speed of the CF card?

then must be coz my CF is slow, think 16x, coz my 5050 takes about 8-9 secs to write a raw pic

so, when pics taken in raw format, what can be edited in photoshop? besides the same things like contrast, color, brightness, sharpeness....?

what are the outstanding benefits using RAW?

sure 3 secs? coz tomorrow I might go buy transcend 30x.

I tried the ridata 52x on the c5050 using RAW, took almost 4 secs.
that's why I am double checking ith you Retro.

think the write max speed for the c5050 is ard 4 secs, coz when I use the Ridata 52x to do a SHQ pic, also ard 4 secs.

would be good to define how the time is taken. is it from the time the shutter is pressed or the time after the camera starts writing to the card?

I timed it after the pic is taken, u know the red light on the c5050, the moment it starts blinking, I start taking the time
