Default Canon in Japan

Will buying a Canon G9 in Japan be cheaper? Any shops to recommend. Will the warranty be valid in Singapore?

Thank you very much for your input.

Yes. Just get from Yodobashi camera, their pricing is already way cheaper than SG.

There's one in Akihabara, as well as Shinjuku. Not too hard to find.

Oh, one thing you have to be careful. Check with them on the International warranty. They normally have a few sales assistants who can speak English. I once nearly bought a Sony T-100 which is A LOT cheaper than Singapore, only to find out that it's for Japanese market. Meaning menu in Japanese, and without International Warranty. Just be more careful, since not many Japanese can speak/understand English.
