Default How to mount a Nikkor 10.5 Fisheye on a 4/3s DSLR

Has anybody tried mounting a Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye on an E-1 or E-3 or other E-system DSLR?

Thanks in advance

I suppose it'd be possible with an appropriate adapter, but won't the sensor size result in an effective FOV of 21mm? i.e. not terribly wide...

Never done it. But without the aperture ring, it'll only shoot wide open.

I think what Bernard meant was if the Nikon 10.5 mm lens is a lens without an adjustable aperture ring, then we can't adjust the aperture and it will by default upon up as wide as possible to let in light to assist during focusing.

Right Bernard?

There are Nikon/Nikkor adaptors out there, the vast majority of all Nikon F, AI, AIS, or the various AF Nikkors will work properly with the adapter on this page:
http://cameraquest.com/adapt_olyE1.htm

You can probably also find adaptors on eBay, but they may not be as reliable (some of the cheaper adaptors have had issues).

Now regarding using non-FourThirds fisheyes with our cameras, due to the 2x multiplication factor the fisheye effect can be cancelled out...I once tried a Sigma 15mm fisheye and it turned out to be significantly less wide than the 14-45mm lens when used on the E-300. I wouldn't spend money on your venture unless you already had the Nikkor lens, and have just tried holding the lens in front of the lens opening of the camera and are happy with the results.

This is why Oly should have produced an 8-16mm two years ago when they first put the ultra wide lens on the lens map, and at the same time produced a 5-10mm lens lens; it's so easy to do telephoto with third party lenses, but very difficult to find ultra-wide or fisheye lenses...although people have had good results with the 8mm Peleng.
