    Question Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS

Hi all, I've been hearing lots of comments on bad copies of the above lens (Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS)

    - Front / Back focusing issues
    - Contrast and sharpness on left and right of image not the same
    - IS Motor malfunction after 1 year

Is there anyway we can do a quick check at the counter before we purchase the item especially on the Image quality concern?

You can either bring your own laptop and check the images on the spot or bring your camera to the shop to test the lens. I usually will request the shop to hold on to the copy that I tried out for a day or 2 so that I can check for Q.C. Most reputable shops offer 7 days 1 to 1 exchange for defective lenses.
