Well, Katzeye is the best that's out there...I personally can't comment on the Singapore market because as you can see by my location info I'm not in Singapore. Katzeye is at:
http://www.katzeyeoptics.com/ Katz ships all over the world and even ships the focusing screen in a cleanroom container, so I wouldn't be worried too much about ordering from them (unless Customs decides to open the package)...but personally I'd be more worried about ordering from someone on eBay. Another large brand is Haoda but they are also in the US, and don't have it for the E-510: http://haodascreen.com/ |

Yes OP sells them. The last time i asked, they quoted me $50.
I got one from them previously for my E500. Works like a charm, except that the VF is slightly dimmer. But its a good trade off for the split screen. However recently i got a e510 and thought of transferring the focusing screen over. it works, the split screen and microprisms. but then sadly the red dot which lights up at the af points don't light up anymore on the e510. all i got was a blury illumination on the bottom of the vf. From what i know the e510 screens op sells should be still the same as the one i have. cos i looked carefully. they just stuck a sticker "Olympus E500/E510" over the "Olympus E500". The screen inside different or not i'm not so sure already ![]() So i'm still looking for a split focusing screen which i can still have my af light working for my e510. from what i know the ones they sell at Katzeye also does not have the red af dot lighting up properly. |

SG is the short form for Singapore.
I don't think the focusing screen is available in Singapore, will have to order it in on your own. Having seen the instructions for the replacement, I'm a little leary of it. Other than helping out in manual focus, what else does it do? |
