Advertisement Category: Want To Sell (WTS)
Equipment Type: Lens Equipment Brand: Pentax Equipment Model: SMC FA 28-80mm F3.5-4.7 PowerZoom AutoFocus Lens for Pentax Film or Digital SLR Camera Price (S$): 100 Description: Got this lens bundled w/ a film camera I recently purchased, but I've got this focal range well covered by some other lenses. Decide to let this one go for cheap. The lens is in great shape, optically there is no fault at all, there is no scratch/mark/dust or fungus on the glass elements, works great on both my Z1 and K20D camera. There are some hair line marks on the barrel but no major dent or scratches. Overall in excellent condition. The lens comes w/ a Hoya HMC Skylight filter and both original Pentax caps. The lens is slightly faster than the Pentax 18-55/3.5-5.6 kit lens, and reaches longer too. Great for using on a digital SLR camera as a walkabout lens. Detailed info about this lens can be found here: http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/lenses/zooms/short/FA28-80f3.5-4.7.html Some special features about the lens: 1. Power Zoom, which is very cool and useful for cameras like Z1,Z1p,K10D and K20D 2. 8 elements in 8 groups optical formula, which means you'd never got lens element separation problem ![]() 3. Very close minimum focal distance (only 0.4m) w/ a 0.25x magnification ratio, pretty nice feature for some closeups. Asking for $100 only (the filter and both caps alone probably would worth half of the asking price already). Here is the actual lens (what you see is what you get): ![]() ![]() ![]() Real Name: Feng Wei Contact Number: 94281380 Condition of Item (as per guidelines): 9 Warranty Status: 1 week personal warranty Package/Accessories/Extras: lens, filter, front and rear caps. Additional Comments: Meet up on the west side at mutual convenience. Thanks for viewing and good luck. |

Good walk around lens w/ 0.25x magnification ratio, very nice focal range to take street/portrait/closeup photos.

Sorry I only tried it on the camera, never really took any actual pictures w/ it. But here some guy posted quite some photos by this lens, and some nice discussion about this lens too:
http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00Ntim Overall it's optically rated better than the later 28-80 ones. I think it's capable of taking some excellent photos I'll give it a try tomorrow or so, if it's still not sold by then

Although I only used the lens once, I do find that the lens produces very pleasing colors:
