Default some shots taken using 70-300

think given the budget, rather pleased got this lens for the reach at the price.

I agree...

The 70-300 is fantastic value for money and it has since replaced my 40-150 kit lens.

yah, my 40-150 has been sitting in my dry cabinet since i got this lens.

Agreed it's a wonderful lens for it's price.

My 40-150mm still follows me, though now lesser usage. It is good for portraits you know?

yap, its good when drawing out the 70-300 is just a little too obvious to others. the 40-150 gives quite good dof to a auto hand like me.
