Thinking of getting a belt pack. However need some advice from expreience bros, how much weight can a belt pack hold without too much sagging (of the bag) and also comfort levels when going for hikes and such?

I am thinking of getting a belt pack like the Lowepro Off Road around the waist and carry a medium sized back pack for other stuff like warm jacket, rain coat, snacks, change of clothes, etc...

I believe the amount of sagging will depend on the design of the beltpack. I had used the TTP Change Up to carry the D200 + 18-200 + 50/1.4 + SB-800 and a couple of other stuffs and I didn't experience too much sagging. I had also tried the modulus system by TTP but didn't really like it that much despite of its versatility.

I am using offtrail 2 and there is no problem with d40 + 18-200mm + 105mm VR + 50mm + SB600 loaded in the bag.

For those minority who actually used the newswear, don't you tend to attract too much unwanted attention? I mean, it makes you look dangerous

So far the one and only full day of shooting with ThinkTank Pro Speed belt coupled with Chimp Cage and Lens Changer 75, the belt with cushion sit nice and neat on my waist all day long without feeling a strain. That day make me feel worthwhile paying for ThinkTank stuff.

I can't say the same thing when i see Lowepro's S&F Deluxe and light belt. One make me feel like i'm a wrestler fighting for the world title while the other make me feel like i'm better off using my giodanio canvas which is cheaper. No offence to the lowepro supporters but their belt system seriously just don't do the work well unlike their Stealth Reporter bag i am using.
