My first visit to Lower Pierce at night and surprise to see many interesting insect, especially the scorpion queen.

Well focused. Think I can even see the outline of, if I am not wrong, the wings of the stick insect.

Actually it was my husband who spotted most of the creatures using torchlight. A lot of patience is needed to comb through the leaves and tree trunks and good eyesight is also needed (which I dun have ). In fact I did not take many shots as my main job was to help him to hold the torchlight while he shoots. |

Before I started taking insects, I sort of worried that I will freak out when I see them. But after a few tries, I realised that I was not afraid as they look so beautiful when magnified. As for my first night macro, I was okay after I got used to walking in darkness........nothing to be afraid of actually . |
