Default Flapping Wings

I have seen this insect several times, but only have chance to shoot it yesterday.
It keeps flapping it's wings, and moving around. Again, I have to keep chasing beside.
Also need your help to teach me the name of it.

Woah! thats some tricky fly you got there!
Thought it was a Asian papaya fruit fly (Bactrocera papayae)
(the flapping wings bahavior) but totally different colouration.

Could be the Mediterranean fruit fly(Ceratitis capitata)though...but lacks some characteristics xP

All i confirm is that it's from the Tephritidae family, thats for sure, haha ><''

some 'not so common' species? nice job capturing it btw xD

seen this kind of fly before at Chinese Garden, same behaviour, pacing back and forth while flapping wings. Difficult subject for macro.

Thanks Daedalus Trent!
You have help greatly by narrowing down! Ya, now I've learnt another new area, they are fruit fly (Tephritidae family).

I shot it from Sembawang Park. I have seen it a few times. Ya, it's not big.

Ya, need some energy to chase after them and keep holding breath while focusing. But at least not as difficult as catching flying subject.
