Hi all,

Just post some photos for constructive critique and comments. Some post-processing were done to provide impact and increase the vividness of the shots (erhmm...or to cover my embarassing errors as I am new to DSLR shooting).

Thanks in advance for the comments, and hope I post in the right sub-forum,

1.

2.

3.

4.

Thats all...hope its not too many.

just my tots as a normal photoviewer:

1)the back ground and foreground all very sharp...(good) but what is the main subject? fullerton or the merlion? Another angle without the merlion to block fullerton would be better (mabbe at the side)?

2 and 3 can be stitched to become a panorama? U may also wan to correct the tilting in #3? seems to be tilted at the LHS

4) I am not sure what you want to capture (a tad too blu for me)...

Personally i like #1 colors.. looks vibrant and lively to me.. as for 2 and 3 look abit dull...

just my comments, ignore if it doesn't make sense...

Hi sunboi80,

Thanks for your comments. I will take note of your valuable and insightful comments.

1) Actually I am trying to capture the fullerton and merlion together but I dun wan to obscure the words 'the fullerton' hence the framing.

2) and 3) Oh, thats a good idea. I never thought of stitching. But I not too sure of the reproduction sizes though. Will check. thanks!

3) You have a good eye! I never noticed its slanted. But tilting will leave black corners...so I have to crop slightly i think...

4) Oh, I was trying to capture the light streaks on the road, but I guess my settings were wrong. So its a 'cover-up' with editing to make it more pleasable to the eye. Yeh..its too blue, my hue settings are over done. Will note it.

Thanks again for the comments!

Cheers,

I dunno for u, but my personal taste is to have just one main subject in one pic, so that when ppl see, they can say "oh so that's fullerton hotel", or "oh that's the merlion" ... but that's just me...
