should be able, but looks like will require EXTREMELY LONG EXPOSURES:

link1 (underexposed)
Exposure: 5 sec (5)
Aperture: f/2.7
ISO: 80

link2 (also underexposed)
Exposure: 6 sec (6)
Aperture: f/2.7
ISO: 80

there is something on yahoo questions about this here

i quote:

Yes you can. You'd have to buy (if you don't already have it) the Canon LAH-DC20 Lens Adapter/Hood Set (goes for about $30 at B&H) and a 58mm IR filter. The Hoya RM72 (about $50) is a highly regarded near IR filter. Near IR means you get the false colors from it also allowing a small amount of visible light to pass through.
dpreview seems to confirm this, under specifications for thread size on s5 is, it says.. optional lens bayonet

hmm...got it, will go look for the adapter and will make sure I got my tripod with me..

btw, I am just guessin on this one...custom white is done on the green leaves (or darker objects)....and this in a way enables long exposure during bright day light?? Cause so far, I haven't been able to get long exposure during bright day light...even if aperture is tiny and ISO low...

btw, not sure about the price of the adapter locally.. but i think the site is quoting in usd or some other currency.. local shops here might sell it for a price not directly translated also.
