I was using my light Sigma 70-300 macro lens...

yeah...macro is just to minimize the focusing distance.. in the zoo.. got fence.. can go how near? hahaha....

I like the first shot the best. A little too much space on the top but composition quite good.

i think shoot far far objects no need to turn macro mode on le...

I have this sigma too, even if you turn on the macro there no difference since the subject is so far, except, you are stucked in the 200-300mm range (in order to switch to macro). The macro mode only allows you to focus at closer distance.
