Hi!
Has anyone tried calidad's ranges of inks for their printers? I've been using canon's BJC s8200 and have found their inks extremely expensive.. Calidad seems to offer cheaper inks and I was wondering how good are their inks in terms of accuracy and colour fastness.. I've found that even canon inks cannot withstand becoming washed out/faded after being left in a dim and dark corner in a picture frame after a year of being displayed! Kinda wasteful considering I'm printing on their top of the line photopaper which is said to last at least 5 years minimum! It would be nice to know of any tips/recommendations CSers have for photo printing and archiving? ![]() |

i'm using the same setup as you but with calidad inks in my office. i must say no difference but 820 has a slight green tint. as for keeping the prints i do not ready have a good idea as the printers are bought less than 3 months ago.
the only gripe about calidad inks is that they smell strongly of chemcials! |

I'm using them for my C61 and C41. Very good value for money.
However I agree that there is a strong smell while printing. |

The Calidad has been discussed in the above thread before. (P.S: my nick was formerly "newuser") I was a Calidad ink user, was lured by the low price of the ink, but decided to go back to Canon orinigals. |
