Does D80 support nikon MF lens ?? .. I mount a 50mm F1.4 Nikkor MF and the light meter is not present ..

no....it doesnt support. only the D200, D300, D2h, D2hs, D2x, D2xs, D3 support the manual lenses..

For D80 you can read up on the classical metering rules and shoot by guesstimation and review the histogram, or u can use a seperate light meter. With abit more effort on proper exposure, u can still take great shots with these lenses. I got a couple of manual lenses that i use often on my D80 as well! Ryan |

Dun worry if it does not support... I was using a 105mm f/2.5 AiS lens on a D40x... and no problems with taking pics. Just set your ISO... select the aperture you desire, and estimate the shutter speed... to some extent, it is a bit of trial and error... but you will get the hang of it
