minolta dimage scan dual III questions?

i just got it today.. the negatives seem to be a bit hard to put into those trays cause the negatives are a bit curvy and keeps springing around.

anybody here can suggest how i can put in those negatives more easily?

secondly if want to get a second 35mm negative tray for this scanner where can i get it?
