Which photo scanner - HP or Epson?

Hi

I'm looking for a flatbed film scanner. So far, have seen two - one Epson, another HP - both are capable of handling 35mm film.

Anyone heard anything abt these scanners or own one of these? Can gimme some advice please? I think my fren owns the Epson one and as a film scanner, it's not very good (i.e. scans are not sharp).

Or are there other brands I can look at? Am not looking for a dedicated film scanner...
