Small Canon DSLR

Hi

I'm thinking of getting a small dslr for traveling but i wanna go for canon as my personal preference
I'm not so familiar with all the specs but can anyone recommend me on a good and small canon dslr?
Is the EOS 450 a good buy?
What does the kit mean btw?

If you don't know wha'ts kit lens yet, don't just listen any model suggestions and go to get the deal. Do a research online and read up, until u know the basic aspects of photography, then go buy it. Can read those camera and lens reviews on all kinds of websites for information.

However, 450D should be a excellent entry DSLR. I bought 400D last year, with no regret. 450D has more functions and (hopefully) improved performance, you won't be regreted also.

when you finish reading up and researching, you can just go with a 350d at 2nd hand price, this should be able to help you save some money in case you ever lose interest in it.

Where is the fun in that?

I would suggest a second hand or even a new 400D? Smack on a 50mm 1.8 and it is nice and small...

A kit is body + lens.

More specifically, a kit is a package that offerred by Canon. When u go buy a camera, you can choose to only buy the camera body and then buy the lenses u need. However, canon offers you the choice of the KIT. E.G. 400D has 2 kits available, one is 400D and a EFS 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 lens, another is 400D and a EFS 17-85mm F4.0-5.6 IS USM lens. Normally if you buy the camera with the kit lens, the total price will be significantly cheaper if u buy the two separately.

hi macros...i also think that i gonna get one of EOS 450D soon... but im still on the way saving money...

btw have u go around and ask for the recent market price? how much that they(seller) gave u?
maybe we can learn together as a newbie and also noobzeer...wkakak...
