Hi, can anyone enlighten me what cause front or back focusing problem, the camera or the lens?
I tot usually the lens would be the cause. Anyone come across the camera is the cause? Thanks in advance......

Intuition will tell you that the body should be the culprit because the AF sensor is in the body but the answer is both because you can reprogram the CPU of the lens to correct for that, and also explains why certain lenses may behave ok on certain bodies and back/front focused on others, and a body may focus ok with certain lenses and front/back focused with other lenses.

You must have a "reference" lens and camera to check which among the two is causing the front/back focus issue. Then the camera has 2 mechanical adjustment, 1 for MF and another AF.
