Canon is having promotion for 40D for SGD300 less, wonder when will it be D300 turn? Imagine the body is selling at SGD2,200 with GST!

Btw, the price in US is 2,250.00USD (3,099.15SGD) for D300 with 18-200VR. why the price is so different than in Singapore?

Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan all are selling the D300 at $2000-2200.

The current Nikon USA promotion is better than the previous, March 2008, Nikon Singapore where there was an offer of free Camus Coffee Set.

Yap knowing that there's such a big difference in prices, sucks man! I don't need the gift set honestly. Btw saw a shop at Peninsular displaying sets with boxes showing D300 bundled with the 18-200mm VR lens in Jap text. I never go ask the prices though think no local warranty and mainly for tourists.

Camera body.. better to buy in SG due to local warranty. Lenses, can buy from HK if you go there as it's 1 yr international warranty.

Yeah...just came back from HK. Nikon 105mm vr retailed for around $950.
