drawing part, just use a torchlight will do. i used a 5 LED tourch. Brighter. Pa Sa Malam standard, $2.50 only and comes with free batteries. make in china of course. heheh Get a few and then get those colored tracing paper for some colors effect. Rubber band them to these tourches and start "painting"!

practice dude. need quite a few ways that you feel will be the most comfortable like for me, i find writing the opposite very hard so i simply stand, facing the words i am going to write but be careful not to block the camera.

This was something i did a few months back with my back to the camera, before this SG Flyer outing. It's easier to actually guage how big you'll write and all.

For those interested, i did this too, a 360 pano with lotsa lightpainting, just for fun and learning...click http://moonshine.homedns.org:2655/pa...painting-pano/

Thanks slaam, if you keep moving, you won't see yourself that much and not to flash yourself/ standstill with the torch shining on you. You wont show up.

We did a few at Cavenagh Bridge, that really brought a lot of onlookers and some that came and ask what camera i was using after seeing what i. We wanted the Fullerton in the background so no choice.

Really good attempt!
I remember trying to write backwards of a similar message last time, took a couple of hours to get it right

share the shots if you still have them. i think we can start a light painting thread or something if there's more contributions? i still have not the time to try color shots.

Anyone notice how M1 is trying to do some light painting during their latest ad campaigns? Someone else has mastered it already and they too are telcos, they are Sprint. Search Strobist or youtube for their ad fill with light paintings.

wow! i'm impress...

bro, few questions:

1) 'bulb' mode means you need cable release?
2) you use the touch light and write while facing the camera? stand how far away? that means, you actually between the subject and the camera?
