Just flew back from Melbourne this evening. Pardon the low-res and the watermark.

The dried up tree in the middle gives it more impact.
For a while i thought it resembled a lightning bolt! Ryan |

Taken off the Great Ocean Road, rays of light cast onto the shoreline through the thick clouds.

A quick stop at the Twelve Apostles. I've seen some pics taken from the shoreline below, but didn't manage to explore that.

the composition and the processing is interesting. what did you do with the processing? there appears to be patchy areas of brightening but the patchiness seems to work very well.

yea, the composition of the last one isn't ideal - I wanted to work on it more as a photoshop challenge against the original pic. So yes, not tilt-shift lens, although I'm certainly a fan of TS photography.

Sometimes I do brighten and darken areas to taste - the patching came naturally this time though, through the brighter spots in the picture. Cloud cover like this tend to produce interesting results, not so obvious in built-up areas, but more apparent across large flat areas. |
