Default IR Outing to Keppel Bay

Just to share some shots taken today... I realise that I seems to like IR the way it is without the channel swap now...

I find the saturation too strong. Did you do any hue/sat adjustment? One/Two pieces ok but for me too many of these makes me giddy.

Like some of the composition. (will be good if you can label/name your shots)

lol i'll keep that in mind... but I din do any saturation/hue adjustment. Just setting the white balance using Nikon Capture for the raw file. I think it got to do with where I set the gray point to be... it sort of affect how overexposed some parts of the pics are, the grass for example.

Yes, where you get your gray point reference in your pic is very important. Different shades of gray gives different results.

You should have a constant gray as reference for your pp else your results will vary a lot.

My opinion, #7 is a relatively good one where you have a ideal gray point. I tried converting it to the usual blue sky white foliage seems ok. Except for the over exposure of the clouds.

I see... yea I find it very hard to find a consistant gray point everytime coz the exposure also differ for different shots so I just shift it base on my feelings and see which point is the nicest.
