Default By the golden beaches

You have bad haloing around the kayak which would suggest too much strength in photomatix, and the beach is way too saturated and or burned, would suggest desaturating the red channel. Also, the composition is quite weak, too much empty blue sky. Landscape may have been a better choice.

Another thing I'd like to add is that having horizon in (or near) the middle of a photo is seldom a good idea.
