Default My Little TLR collection

TLR has a sentimental feel for me. Since a baby my dad have been using his Rolleiflex 2.8 on street and family pictures.... so here it goes.

The King Kong Mamiya C330! Super heavy sure break your back!! No joke!

I had a C33 bought in UK and really regretted selling in to DSO. Nothing to do with defence lah. Father of Cameraworkshop boss.

Really wonder where the camera gone to. Sob !

I was using a chrome 65mm F3.5. It was really bad.

now have a Black 55mm F2.5. Mint! I love it. You got a C220 to sell to me??

here cometh my Yashica TLR. Too many of them, about 6. So only shot the 3 that are representative....

The YASHICAMT 124G !! mint and fixed by ex Tithes service guru with original parts. Everything works, after so many years!

lens is rich for colour prints. I love this camera.....

Yashica 635!

I bought this little gem when I was in UK. The camera looked like new but the suttled cork up. Got Tithes people to fix it really well.

This camera followed me to Scotland, Ireland and then to Germany and Italy. Later it followed me to Korea and then to Japan. Recently went to China and even Mongolia. Wow, still look like new. The corking system can make me cork up many times. but the picture is super with Fuji Superia. I wont sell the Yashica 635. If you sell it, you are an idiot.

One picture taken in a Korean temple using reala F8 and on tripot. I blew it up to poster size, the edges were soft but who ever saw it the jaw would drop. The picture was given to a famous monk in Taiwan.

The love of Yashica 635 drove me to find more Yashica 635 and variant.

Unfortunately, all very rotten and full of fungus in Singapore. All can go to graveyards.

In USA, not many samples and people would get a Rolleicord or Rolleiflex or Yashicamat.

So here cometh the Yashica D! Ther aperture is 100% round! Very nice bokeh!

This camera previously belonged to an old gentleman who passed away suddenly. His widow sold it to me and asked me to take care of it..... So until today I CLA it to like new but never shot with it...

Opppsss. Seagull! To many, this is a piece of Junk.

But, this particular camera is my Macro setup for 6X6.

Shooting Macro on TLR? Siow ah? Hey, 100% workable, I use 2 sets of Hoya +2 . It works.

And the picture DAMN BLOODY SHARP.

Made in China... but I give this one camera exception lah.

I have 6 of them.

Seagull ..... again? yes, 4A-105. 3 element taking lens. But the quality is comparable to Rolleicord .... but not comparable to Vb and above.

very nice B&W. No difference!

very nice colour prints! I use Reala, etc. Oppsss. Agfa is dead liao No more Agfa film. Otherwise this camera really shines!!

I love this camera. I have 3 of them. All worked very well.

One note, this one survived -15oC weather in Korea. Also survived -40oC in Minneapolis. Veyr reliable. if the camera failed, 90% could be user fault la....

Picture wise, can beat any Rolleicord if stopped to F8. Think carefully, and it will shine!

Seagull 4A 109! My de facto TLR now! Cheap, good and 4 element lens really good.... many times wanted to buy a TVS Rolleiflex but this one held me back!

The only one that be bought NEW. I love it and bought 1 new and 2 used. Anyone dont want? Sell to me.

Almost like a Yashicamat. But build quality sucks! Sample to sample variation sucks! handling sucks! But very light and reliable. Picture ok.

I got one stolen in UK, it was ok, managed to get a replacement quickly.

Looks like those exported to USA are equally bad as those sold in China. A great camera, but check before you buy.

Seagull is really rubbish actually.... if only they can have true german QC.

Sold one of Rolleicord to a nice Gentleman.

here it goes:

very light and compact camera. Super nice picture. Colour is better , much better than Seagull. No fight.

My favourite TLR now.... The 2.8F with Scheneidler lens.

Colour prints are so good.... the only thing bad is it is too heavy, expensive, and difficult to take around

That all folks. Still got some more TLR, but I am tired already....

Still easier to shoot with Nikon lah... ha ha

All pics taken with Nikon D70s with Tamron 90mm Macro F2.8.....

Would love to go into the world of TLR one day. Diane Arbus used one, I think...

Great Collection! Thanks for sharing!

We should confirm the TLR outing soon this April?

Just gotten myself a Yashica mat 124, Yashica A and a Yashica 44 (use 126 roll film).
Do not have much $$$$ to buy a good condition Rollieflex yet.
