Default sunset on the westside.

hi guys. i took this picture awhile back, and i see this sort of halo around my sunset. i find it kind of weird. i would like to appeal to the experienced ones and ask if this is normal?

i dot beleived i photoshopped it except for the logo at the bottom.

thanks in advance.

this is flare.

here it works

but correct the apparent tilt (due to the line, whatever it is in the photograph)

would also do a pano crop for this one

yup it's flare.
normally caused by a tiny speck of dust/dirt on yr lens.

sometime's it works (in this case), but sometimes it ruins the photo.
normally it's best NOT to get flare, and then add it on later on in photoshop. that way, you can adjust the amount of flare and stuff.

nice one anyway

thanks guys!

the sunset was beautiful...one could say i was pretty darn lucky and when nature presents an opportunity better take it. although i feel someone wiht more experience could have done alot better

ohh i didnt notice the tilt...i kept looking at the treeline which is a slope down...the horizon is probably a few degrees off
