Default Night shot test for Nikon AF-S 16-85mm VR lens

Just bought the Nikon AF-S 16-85mm VR lens, here are some test for night shots to share.

#01 - 16mm, 14 sec, F10, ISO100 with tripod & VR OFF

#02 - 85mm, 1.8 sec, F10, ISO100 with tripod & VR OFF

#03 - 35mm, 2.5 sec, F10, ISO100 with tripod & VR OFF

#04 - 16mm, 1/8 sec, F3.5, ISO640, handheld without tripod & VR ON

This lens should be able to shoot at 1/5 sec handheld without tripod. Will try it another day. I would say a very good walkabout lens.

Base on the Nikon SG website it should be a DX format lens.

I bought this lens after I read the review from Ken Rockwell and Photozone. I've yet to find time to take day shots. Will try some day shots this weekend.

Are you going to get a copy for yourself?

Clear shots indeed, and definitely good enough to be a walkaround lens ... distortion pincushions be damned!

And I could see my house in your pic! If you took it from yours, mine's just a stone throw away lah!
