    Default any expert in id-ing buddha amulets?

    Sorry I'm totally clueless about this. Would appreciate some help

    Anyway, the amulet in question looks like this

    anyway looks like a KP to me .. but i might be wrong

    Me having a similar Thai amulet too... but aint too well versed in this field.
    Maybe I can check with my bro-in-law whos more experienced in such field.

    soeypixels: thanks for helping me re-post it onto those specialised forums. uhm... i dunno what the back looks like. coz i'm afraid if i force open the ring, i cannot bend it back properly. sorry for sounding silly, but what is "KP" ?

    alankpy: yes, mine is from thailand as well. was a gift from an uncle.

    can show the real shape of it?

    if the top is a round arch, chances its phra soomkor. but if your back is blank, i can only say its probably old, and cannot offer much ident. looks like an ayuthaya era votive tablet though

    this mudra is a mudra of buddha touching the earth and calling earth as a witness against mara, of which after that phra mae toranee wrung her hair and washed mara and army away with water :P

    kp is khun paen, this piece definitely not khunpaen

    thanks for the link ninelives. poured through their gallery. seems that closest match in terms of style is the "pra supanburi"

    Sometimes... the back is craved with some thai chantings i think.

    psychobiologist: woops. lousy photo i took. heh. yes, the top is rounded. not sharp. hmmm. i dun have pliers here, so i don't think i am able to open up the casing to look at the back. maybe when I get back to SG.
