A little walk around Chinatown to Cathay (Penisular)

Its the very 1st time I brought my 400D (kit lens 1) out to do some snapping. Haven't have any prior experience on SLR cameras. Commends are welcome as when I see the other contributions, I've a long way to go.

Wanting to build my photography foundation, non of the photos have been edited in any way. For this 1st outing I'm trying to have a 'feel' & appreciate the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO - very foundamental. Hopefully develop some creative 'eye' in the process and hoping that the viewers feel as if they're there beside me.

Joey, first timer was quite impressive....
For the first picture of the boat, perhaps you might want to set your EV to plus 1 that will open up the
exposure cos I have taken this before cos vast expanse of the sea will always cost your metering to underexposed.
I hope you will like the Canon I sold you and enjoy your photography.

I have actually set your Canon to plus 2 on sharpness and up the saturation and if you dont like you can change it to default.

when taking bumboat, can wait on the bridge, till one is comin at u.

cus your photo, the boat is movin away, not as attractive, in my opinion.

the palm leave against orange wall looks ok, i also ve one almost exactly the same.

good try. focus on the basic.

got chance, we go shoot nite scene together.
