[Help] Cheap external flash for PowerShot S5

Hi all sifus,

Instead of Canon Speedlite series, which third part flash can be mounted on this S5? Can I get one below $150?

I got one at this price...go try SLS. so far so good, and this can also be use for nikon camera.

Can it meter and fire an AF-assist beam? Hmmm.

If I remember correctly, not even the Canon Speedlite can fire off the AF-assist beam when use on S5IS.

probably because the Canon flash LED AF assist light is too big for the AF sensor on PnS camera?

anyway, S5IS have it own AF assist light inst it?

maybe can try the discontinute 380EX in buy/sell section? definitely below $150 and works perfectly with Canon digicam with its E-TTL mode.
