11.o9.o8 Thru the view-finder (of G7) Was nostalgic looking through a viewfinder. The last time i did, i was 12 and in Rome - my first time with a camera. I spoiled the zoom using the camera as a binoculars to look at the elaborate roofs of grand buildings. ![]() Last edited by eemiily; 14th September 2008 at 04:30 PM. |

14.o9.o8 Escape from a Long Day ![]() Reading Hugo Poon's biography, a line stuck out: In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs... Suddenly, i feel the shots i've taken have no life in them. Most of them are just pretty or visually interesting (i hope). I want to be more than just observant and spot the pattern/geometry/colours/different viewpoint etc.. Must try to capture life, and things that stir my heart. There should be a reason i took the photo other than it being visually pleasing. I think my previous posts' image size (width of 800. ht may hv been over 1000px) might have been too big - i've edited them. Last edited by eemiily; 14th September 2008 at 04:32 PM. |

18.o9.o8 Spring has arrived! Leaves have started to sprout overnight Bare trees are a sporting delicate green borders. I'll miss the shapes formed by the bare skeleton of the trees. But it's so nice to see colour again too. ![]() Last edited by eemiily; 18th September 2008 at 05:20 AM. Reason: i decided landscape formats shall be displayed large. |

22.o9.o8 Twisted It was unnerving to see the sign orientated this way. This is no older a church. It is now used as a venue that's rented out to host random events. There was this Globalized sale held there. Racks and racks of clothes. A church organ on the upper floor. confession rooms used as changing rooms. Light streaming through stain-glass windows. People tripping over areas that demarcated area b/w aisle and chairs. ![]() Last edited by eemiily; 22nd September 2008 at 01:44 PM. |

24.o9.o8 Flick Straight out of my camera (other than colour adjustments). Abusing the coupling function of my camera - "uses separate areas to combine two shots. You can include yourself in the shot." ie you take the photo with your friend in half the shot; your friend takes over the camera and snaps you in the other half of the photo. The camera combines it and ta-da, both of you are in the shot. Used it to create other "effects" in this case ^__^ the lil function brought much laughter to the last clinic session of semester 2a ![]() Last edited by eemiily; 24th September 2008 at 12:28 PM. |
