Thanks guys for taking the time to check out my website !

Wryer - yes, I always take my laptop along on trips to download photos at the end of each day. I don't fully trust the portable hard drive imagebanks. With the laptop, I also burn my photos on to CDs before coming home just in case the laptop's hard drive gets wipes going through the numerous X-ray machines.

    cheers,

My friend over there says that the rainy season has set it, hope it drys a bit for me to take some nice pictures.

    Hi Prismatic,

I was there in the last two weeks of April and it rained literally 9 days out of 10 while we were there. But I couldn't let the rain stop us, so we went out in the rain regardless !

Pack an umbrella or buy one of the really cool transparent types that you will see all over Japan. They are reasonably cheap and available at the convenience stores.

    cheers,

guys - thanks for your kind compliments !

sevenWAYS - All the photos were taken with the Sony F717. This is a truly great camera ! I recommend it thoroughly.

I didn't bring too much gear with me on the trip. In terms of accessories, I brought a tripod, a polariser and a ND filter. Of course, I had my trusty laptop which goes everywhere with me and not forgetting my Sony Clie to preview the photos enroute back to the hotel.

    cheers,

Wah okie.... I'm like bringing half of my equipment there.....
Have around 10 rolls of Provia, plus a couple of Velvia. Going to find out if the new Velvia 100 is out yet.
