I visited the municipal garbage dump in Phnom Penh last year. These are the pictures - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...b&id=691190406
I didn't have a lot of time there... I hope I can return to finish the job. - Norm |

Good job!
I have always wanted to go there and take a look but never got the chance.

Thanks for sharing Norman. Your photographic and reportage style match with those of Associated Press. Truly photojournalism. Well done!

To name this series "Hell on Earth in Cambodia" speaks too much of what the *photographer* thinks of the subject.
Photojournalism should aim for more objectivity. I suggest naming the series in a way that might reflect what the *subject* think of the place (it appears to a place where their livelihood depends on), or better yet, just let the photos tell the story by themselves. |

Excellent touching and thought-provoking series.
Makes me ashamed that I curse and swear each time I get stuck behind one of these garbage trucks. Truly humbling. Thank you Norman. browncow |

I strongly agree with tankhinhow about the naming of the thread.. i kinda resent it actually. its too judgemental. maybe it could have been something more geared towards spurring people to help? but u did a really great job with the photos..i love the one with the girl and the slippers and smoke.. =) |
