Asia Hotel CMI. If you want near shopping centre then Novotel or PP. Both near MBK, Siam Square and Paragon. And 5 mins walk to the skytrain. Plus lotsa good makan around.

    Trust me, cannot go wrong.

Actually it depends on how many of you guys are going.. If there're 3 or 4 of you, better off taking cab than BTS/MRT. Even for my gf and I when we went last month, we take quite a far bit of cab too. The amount is justifiable if you insist to the driver to charge by meter.

I think you're referring to Chatuchak Weekend Market. I stayed at Reflections Room. It's a really cool boutique hotel near Chatuchak Market. Prices from S$80 and up..

You might want to consider going Chatuchak for a few hours will do (just for the experience).. I realized you can get more or less equally priced items at other markets such as Suan Lum Night Bazaar where they close at 12mn. You get to shop longer (compared to 6pm closing time for Chatuchak), and lesser people, cooler temperature. I realized they do not mark-up the price that much nowadays. It's more or less fixed price or 10-20% discount as written at the shop.

Btw, will it be cheaper to book through agency like CTC, chan brothers, sa tours or other agency?

Coz I saw from their website, the price looks cheaper.
Don't know if it's really cheaper.

For BKK hotels I never bother with tour agencies..... in fact I never bother with tour agencies, period.

Book online. Another cheap site (which I use 90% of the time) is www.sawadee.com

Just came back from Bangkok last week.

I stayed at Asia Hotel. It was alright to me though. Except sometimes things get messed up. As in, when you book a non-smoking room, they might tell you that there's no more such rooms when you arrive and just place you in the smoking room. That's what happened to my family.

    I see...
Coz I saw on CTC's flyers.
It state there Fr $198. 2 ways tickets with accomodation. (Both airline n accomodation can be choose on your own)

So I don't know which is more worth it.
To book this kind of package or to book airline and hotel seperately.

This is my 1st time doing free n easy.
Most of my trips are group tours.
