    Question May I know is there any difference between these 2?

    Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED

    VS

    Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II

    The II is slightly better. The I has been discontinued. The 3rd version is the one with VR. There are some minor optical differences between the 3 lenses.

    The 1st version is the kit lens for the D50, version II is kit lens for D40/x.

    There were some optic quality issues with the 1st version, particularly with the inner tube. Version II addressed the issue.
