Cool, nice catch.
Just wondering, whether if the runner has past the lamp post (as if running away) may be stronger pic.

yep, good suggestion

of course what i would REALLY like to take is some policeman chasing a guy as he's running past the poster. gotta wait for a serendipitous moment for that!

compositionally not as good, he will be running out of the picture, and bringing your viewer's eye with it not to mention, less nicely framed w/o those 2 trees

like so:

pardon haphazard cloning job

right now the balance of elements is good. btw, i also agree that the leftmost tree is not required.

thx for the comments guys...

yep, agree the trees at the edge can be omitted to reduce clutter.

Somehow I still like the original pics. The expanse in vastness outweigh the minor cluster of the tree. It invokes the sense of human striving forward, a progression which everyone yearns. Having the person alone in the pic is very appealing to my inner feelings, which I believe most of us long for, that is to be alone at some time in our life. This is one rare happening in our ever busy, competitve society in Singapore. Thanks for sharing...

i always like this kind of pano crop of street shooting style but i prefer it at eye level. No qualms about the picture. Like the way it is, red stands out from the dull green environment too. The lamppost seems to balance the picture and would prefer the original one than the one edited by night86mare. sorry night86mare bro! no offence haha

alamak, no one understand me

my intention is for people to see that running out of picture not good!

so if you like the one i edited, you would be disagreeing with me!

I know what you mean. But does not have to be running out of the frame. Maybe lampost at the runner's position, runner at center tree position (or something like that), positioning reference to original photo.
