![]() actually, having someting to fight for, isn't that the definition of "having a life"? Last edited by night86mare; 25th March 2008 at 01:54 AM. |

Yes, Polaroid is out, but Fuji still makes Polaroid film. Black and white too ... but have to buy in Japan.

Oh no... last at most one year only...
![]() I dun think any companies will want to make instant films... Digital photography have sort of taken over the market and not forgetting the instant printers that allow users to print their photos... The price of each photo (include instant printing) is much more cheaper than instant films... OT: Is it possible to DIY instant films??? (Yah, I know... it sound silly, but dun you wish for that?)

Hi Youhong, Thanks for your post and comment. Yup, Digital photography is the future! I fully agree on this! Digital give you fast result on the spot. Save time and save money. But, most of us here are not in the photography industry am i to say that? Most of us are taking photography as a hobby, a passion or something to do to pastime time with. I do have a DSLR too. But, i find that vintage classic cameras are much more interesting to play with. Photography is just a hobby to me. Guess, I choose more toward film than digital stuffs. ![]() It is really up to you and everyone here. Digital or film? But, at the end of the day it all about taking good pictures. And not forgetting made new friends here in any Clubsnap or any forums. I do have a LIFE like everyone and as busy as everyone here and i am NOT here out to save the world. Just doing it out of my interest and telling people here what you are losing. Without cameras, films will not be make! With films, cameras will not even be make! Without cameras and films i dun even think digital photography will be possible! ![]() Let just join ourself taking good pictures and share our feeling and experience to everyone who is interested in film or digital photography this is what is forums is all about. Not posting a comment telling people to get a life! ![]() Let hope there are less people like HIM around in the forums. Good luck to him? (Think before you post a comment in someone else thread! A lucky star will not help too much!) Hmmm... I would say DIY instant films will not be possible for everyone! But, it do not sound silly to me at all. Ha ha ha... Cheers! .... |

eamesboy... care not for the naysayers.
Like everybody else, i have gone digital but polaroids are special. I encourage everyone to try it out eventhough it is dying. Thank you for the effort you've put in. |

The only way to have companies carry on making polaroids are to ensure that it will be profitable to do so. Means that one has to be prepared to pay a very high price maybe 50 to 60 dollars per piece. It's simple economics, companies only do what makes money and now that everyone is into digital and film is a dying art. Its only natural that certain things will get phased out.
Besides the artistic aspect of it, Polariods makes no sense to the general consumer. 1) Instant results? Well digital are instant results and can do multiple instants. 2) Cost wise, it costs a bomb compared to instant photography. So with more consumers abandoning film and polariod, its only a matter of time before film dies out... Sad but true. |
