I was checking photos online and encountered this old photo. I decided to post this to hear what you have to say. Note; that I have no intention of claiming this photo for personal use but merely to get critics, suggestion, discussion and learning.

1. What could you tell about the composition?
2. Do we need to do cropping in this picture?
3. Is the black and white tone just right?
4. Any other suggestion to make the photo better?

Feel free to do what you want with the photo.

wait - this is not your image?

then i do not think it is really fair to put this in the critique corner - if you see the description it says:
Post your image in here to get serious and honest feedback from fellow photographers. Please read FAQ before posting.

although it is not mentioned in the faq that it must be YOUR image, but i think it is only polite to not use others' images for a literal dartboard. it is probably more fair to ask for opinions in say, kopitiam or elsewhere.

mods, please clarify, this seems to be a grey area.

the desire to learn from the works of others is a good one, as such there is no problem with posting of others' works in critique corner for learning.

however, upon further consideration, although threadstarter does not claim the picture to be his own creation, it is only fair to only post others' works here when the following conditions are fulfilled

1. there is proper reference/acknowledgement given to the original creator/owner of the work
2. there is permission from that creator/owner to have the work posted here

thread will be closed. threadstarter can repost when the stated conditions are satisfied.
