    Default Flash Mode

Which flash mode do you use most often?

    (A) Auto - camera in P, Av, Tv mode

    (A) Auto - camera in M mode

    (M) Manual - camera in P, Av, Tv mode

    (M) Manual - camera in M mode

(TTL) Thru the Lens - camera in P, Av, Tv mode

(TTL) Thru the Lens - camera in M mode

Also, does it make a difference when you use tele-lens? HSS? TTL or Auto?

Just like to know how others use the flash modes for all or different situations. Hope to learn from you guys.

As a newbie in DSLR, I will choose TTL, cuz i find that flash is something which is pretty hard to master. I use A mode most of the time.

TTL and generally some auto exposure mode but occasionally manual exposure when there is difficult lighting.

I haven't used Auto mode on a flash since my Vivitar 285 HV and my Olympus OM-1N, which had no auto exposure at all. That flash unit was more complicated than the camera.

If I'm shooting movement "action" it's in (TTL) thru the lens - camera in M mode

    Otherwise
(TTL) thru the lens - camera in P mode
