BMW 520i Driving Experience - shoot by Vincecarlo

You heard it on the radio last week. Here's the BMW 520i Driving Experience brought to you from Changi Expo Center.

Students are put thru the paces in the following exercises :
- Theory
- Emergency braking
- Avoiding obstacle & braking
- Avoiding obstacle without braking
- Finally a timed competiton; slalom, hairpin, avoiding obstacle & parking in a define box

Practice run for avoid obstacle without braking (notice the suspension is loaded on the driver's side as driver had to swerve right then left to avoid obstacle)

This is the timed competiton;
starting with slalom, hairpin, avoiding obstacle & parking in a define box (emergency brake)

Fastest time of the 4 days gets a full day of trg with Vincent in Pasir Gudang

looks like U werent at ideal positions to do panning to capture the lane changes or hard braking... and those hard braking shots must be damn tough to shoot...

For those that do not know Ringo, he won the Johor Series as a privateer against some well funded bigger teams. He also made a clean sweep in the Kallang CP in the 90s with a Prodrive WRX. You will be able to see him in action in the support race some 28 Sep during the Singtel F1

haha, it was meant as a driving experience. Let's just say that was the best possible spot with a small window of opportunity to shoot and I wasn't even suppose to be at that particular spot

I imagined the event, though it's called 520i driving experience, but the instructor using a 507bhp M5 to teach & demostrate... hahaha...

Look at how smallish the standard wheels are, & how high profile are the tyres...

Vincent drove as he showed us the excercises, and also a demo run (us taking turns riding shot gun in the car) using the whole compound. It's not an M5, fully loaded with 4 adults so no sideways actions

He managed to do one Powerslide while I was in the car... :-)

Nice to be able to drive like a maniac and not have to worry abt tires, brakes, petrol etc. Overall great experience!

Then it'll be named "M5 'make you hair stand' that you never forget Driving Experience"

520i is positioned as entry level for 5 series, guess the 4 pot engine to match the standard high profile tyres
