I might not be the best person to answer your questions as there are so many better lomo-er out there.
but here goes... 1. Does it takes a Branded lomo camera to get at least a better quality images. better in terms of sharpness. color, and i should say it lomo effect(not fish eye but color cast by flash etc...) Nope. any old thing will do, even a home-made pinhole in a shoebox! and we are lomo, who cares abt sharpness and the brand =P we like it quirky 2. does all lomo cams have flash cos i saw one which is mounted and other are built in.. others i cant see it or im not so sure if its a flash. Nope. depends on what you want and honestly what you use. lomo is a form of photographic art. not a camera. so anything can be lomo! 3.what film suits well for lomography? i like saturated colors... this one really only 1 choice... xpro slide films. i would vote polaroid as my second choice =) thanks in advance. no prob |

just to add on to question 1 you can always buy a colorsplash flash which can be mounted on most cameras that have hotshoes.. these would help you get the color cast effect you want..

Hi I have a question about alternative photography.
I'm a newbie into this and I started with Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim. I have also the pop cam, split cam and the fish eye camera. I'm looking into buying action sampler but there are alternatives on the market such as the quad cam and the disderi 4 lens camera which are selling much cheaper than lomo action sampler. Does the pictures from the different cameras give different quality? |

What i meant was which of the cameras would be a better buy.. because if the more expensive lomo action sampler has a better image than the quad cam, I'll gladly pay for the quality...
I am not sure how the pictures look like myself but I judge from the pictures from flickr, they do look similar to me. In that case is it safe for me to say that I could just get the quad camera and not pay much more for the lomo action sampler ![]() |

nopes, doesn't matter. lomo= anti-sharp peektures? lol. 2. does all lomo cams have flash cos i saw one which is mounted and other are built in.. others i cant see it or im not so sure if its a flash. there are various types of lomo cameras of which that comes with built-in/ u can mount ur own flash kind... 3.what film suits well for lomography? i like saturated colors... slides for x-processin! great for crazy outcomes! try googlin for square frog to find out more abt lomo. |

anywayz lomo is a company name which makes cameras such as the lc-a and lubitel.. if you're talking about lomography just use any film camera and just start taking shots.. experiment with the film by cross processing slides, using black and white and also different types of negatives.. buy a holga and experiment with 120 film.. experiment with different types of cameras from toy cameras to slrs to pinhole... imho there are no rules for lomography... .. just my 2 cents..
