I would go for holiday if I have to decide btw these 2. There is never ending to upgrade and newer models are not necessary better. Some newer camera comes with features you dont even use. (eg picture style on my EOS 40D).

FYI, for those who suggest Toto, my advise is if you dont have luck, better save your money. my own experience tell me that you need a lot of luck, capital and good Karma to win. You may start with $10 but most ppl got hooked and gamble more and more. (I was one of them).

    Holiday. Nuff said.

U stay in this country till u croak at 75 (avg lifespan for a male). U have 24/7 to see this country, how abt other countries where u could only see it for a month the most?

Forgo the upgrade, head for a holiday instead to broaden ur view.

I'd like to think its more of one's behaviour for public shooting.

There are some photographers that I noticed flash their gear in public, DSLRs, flash and big aperture zooms holding their camera and heads high sticking out like a sore thumb standing in the middle of the pavement taking shot after shot after shot, chimping like nobody's business.

There are some photographers that I'd barely noticed sitting in a corner and looking at a scene for a long time before something compels him to lift his camera and take 1 shot before moving off.

Being discreet, I guess, does have its advantage. And knowing the basics enabling u to have a 1-shot-1-kill (unless u're shooting dead/immaterial objects) for street as well as basic courtesy probably is the best.

Go to Hong Kong for a holiday, and go cam shopping there. Win-win.

Go for a holiday and learn how to upgrade your photography skills.
