The opposition had gathered together to beat BN. Now that they have somewhat acheived that aim, will they still be co-operative towards one another or split & seek to imporove their own positions vis-a vis the others as well as push their own policies forward?

The one thing the coalition must keep a close tab on is the maintenance of a tolerant multi-racial, multi-religious society or else hell will break lose.

I would think in a democratic society, the correct word should not be "fear" but "hope".

    Don't understand your point.

Of course I expect Sing opposition to put our country's interests first.

hmm.. BN might blame spore for their loss??

But seriously, I hope this means that there will be less nationalist rhetorics from our neighbours.

Maybe relations might be so good in future that Spore will be back in the M'sia cup. ole ole oleh...

If Dr M is around, I would expect him to use S'pore as the scape goat. Abdullah seems more sensible.

Kudos to malaysians for daring to vote for change.

That's one thing that you have to respect them for.

My brother-in-law took leave from work to go back to Malaysia to vote. Admire this kind of spirit.

    Malaysia boleh!

Poor governance, lack of political maturity, accountability and human development will affect national identity, cohesion and strength.

In fact Singapore should be afraid. The Northern states are practically gone. The ruling party will definitely be working on their flaws. There is an inclination towards a Malaysian Malaysia in this election. Once they phase out the privilege policy, Singapore will be jialat liao.

Like I said again, if your whole national policy is dependant on "beggar-thy-neighbour", then the people in charge have done bugger all for the past 40 years.

    Malaysians are brave people.

They wanted to give the horse a kick in the butt.
It ends up that everyone gives the horse a kick and the horse is now half dead.

In my case, the ERP kicks me, the GST kicks me, the petrol price kicks me, the HDB kicks me, I am half dead.

And I will be dead when IRA give me the final kick.

    Hi:

You know I still can't get over the fact that gov had recoup every single cent they dished out for the GST rebate in just one year.

Only now I begin to believe we really have a very capable gov.
