borderless printing question

I am using epson 830, and have tried printing several 6x4in pictures borderless. My image sizes are set such that they should print out to be exactly 6x4in also. However just as I click print a window will pop up to say that image size is bigger than the paper size, and true enuff, my pics get cropped when printed.

The paper size which i select is 4x6 w/o perforation.

Did I do anything wrongly? Or is it that even though the printer is capable of printing borderless there is still a border arnd the image which cannot be read and used?
