    Default Is 1600 X 1200 .jpg enough for 4R?

    Hi

    Is 1600X1200 .jpg picture enough for 4R printing?

    is it 1600X1200 or 1200X1600 in the first place...

    my first time doing digital prints... do i save in jpg format?

    1600x1200 => Protrait mode
    1200x1600 => Landscape mode.

    And yes it is enough for 4R. Do take note that the above mentioned ratio are 4:3 while photo papers are in the 3:2 ratio. So usually the shop will either 1. print it w/o doing any adjustment, but will leave a border ard it. 2. crop to 3:2 ratio and sometimes leave the more imp stuffs out.

    so do remember to let the lab know which to go for. *I'll go for 1.

    nope.. resizing to 3:2 does not make your picture perfect. What give you that idea!?

    Anyway, the best is you do the resize yourself. 1600:1200 is 4:3 so 3:2 is.... go do the calculation.......

    erm, you shouldn't be resizing with the proportions intact. should be cropping down to 3:2 instead.

    Approximately 1600 * 1066 will be nice.

    Crop off the side, make the pic into 1600 x 1067
