I was sitting at the bus stop just outside Clementi Bus Interchange. It was raining and then I saw this kitten taking shelter under the rubbish container. It was all alone and shivering in the cold. Just wondering if the title suits the moment I captured. Composition wise, do you think the vertical lines are distracting?

well if only the kitty looked at you or something it would have been more captivating.
subject isolation via color different/contrast difference doesnt work here cuz the colors of the cat isnt outstanding nevertheless good catch! and very cute kitty btw..

Yeah, I was trying to create sounds to make it look at me but wasn't successful.
Appreciate the comments and will definitely take note of when to use subject isolation. =) |

Try to avoid Blockage of your subject. Back of cat for example.
Need more cropping. ![]() |

good eye for spotting the kitten
the compositional idea is there, the trouble is that: a) the vertical perspective and horizontal perspective problem here spoil the picture, the lines are fine, but they would certainly be A LOT stronger as a frame if you had moved around a little, to achieve something like this ![]() sorry for the cutting and pasting of the kitten, i don't think anybody wants to see how cui my kitten drawings in paint look like b) maybe it is impossible to do this view incamera, then at least make it limited to one, i.e. horizontal perspective should be easy to correct here by moving to the left, to make sure your camera back is parallel to the line of the railings horizontally.. maybe vertical perspective impossible.. so try to positiong your camera as high as possible without having to strain your neck.. and correct it in photoshop later all in all, the cat will also be taken from a better angle as a result |
