it is more important for you to know what you are trying to show in the picture than just classifying the picture. please include a short writeup as per guidelines http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273376

oops sorry.

kinda arranged my friend's earphones and her bag... was trying to do a still life shot. but some of my friends say it's more of an abstract?

either way. i personally feel this picture has the classic feeling but it's not perfect. so i hope to receive some constructive criticisms or comments =]

my definition:

"Don't know what is that" is abstract.

"a 3 years old also know what is this" is still life

I don't sense any "classic feeling" on this photo, maybe the eyephones are too modern.

Hi Boogienight,

If I am not wrong, ur focus point is on the bag. It will be nicer if u focus on the left earphone areas. The padding areas. Anyway nice shot! try b/w ?

i would consider this a still life - not quite abstract enough

otherwise, the lighting here is pleasing at first glance, arrangement of the elements in the photograph need improvement to provide a stronger composition. cheers.

nice contrast in the wrinkled red and the textured tartan ... but the crop, focus and untidy wires - esp the one running up to the left to nowhere - make it look very unlikely as something deliberately composed but more like an accidental shot, like the shutter depressed accidentally ... still life or abstract or title or descriptions all dun matter ... the pic is still a "snap shot".

But the picture can still say something to some people, and some may get inspirations from it to do some real still life or abstract ...
