if let say you are shooting a cloudy day, you ISO is 100, at f8 you will get 1/100sec
to shoot at 3sec, you lens aperture should be at f128 and above, since f22 is your minimum aperture you can go, that's how you get overexposed image. if you insist of shoot long exposure, get a 400x ND filter. |

you would need some heavy-duty ND filters. 3 seconds in bright daylight is a serious stretch for any camera.

ND filter is the way to go if u need to use long shutter speeds in bright daylight.

Hoya is good, though you may need a step-down adapter. The H7 uses a 74mm thread, while standard filter size is 72mm. So you may need an adapter ring to convert from 74 to 72, then you can mount the Hoya 72mm ND filters.
Sony makes them at full 74mm size, but they're very expensive.

Yeah, sony does not make the ND filters for H7 yet. And the minimum aperture is only f8.

FINALLY found stocks for ND Filter (Sony 58mm)!! Reserved liao.. haha.. Getting the Special effect filter also, DAMN hard to get but also managed to get.. Conclusion is to call up those "ulu" shops where they have old stocks.. They even have 2 more H5 brand new in stocks and also at a special discounted price too.. $599 if I did not remember wrongly.. |

On my lenses with a 58mm thread size, no need for an adapter ring. On my 55mm lenses, I use a 55-58 step-up ring.

Already called MS Color and will try to make a trip down. So, conclusion is it's all depends on thread size.. I'm also considering of getting one of the A series for more serious photography but not until I learn most of the basic photography. |
