    Thanks DeSwitch. But I still need to pass the tests first before getting it. Still a few more hurdles to clear.

    I just received another mail that was a duplicate that I received a few weeks back informing me that I have been shortlisted. In the excitement of things, I forgot to reply YES back to the sender. Anyone forgotten to reply?

    I also want to be volunteer..but none of the positions interest me leh..

    Was looking for volunteer drivers or volunteer pit crew members..

    As for now, i think my only option is to standby at Singapore Pools HQ for 'live' telecast + odds..

    maybe the duplicate is meant for people like you and me. i also forgot to reply that i accepted the position the first time around. too excited i guess... hahaha.

    so, i quickly reply this time. it's good they did not strike us off the volunteer list for not replying. they still give us chance

    I was so excited I replied immediately. Den so kiasu 2 days later I wrote again and ask why got no acknowledgment. Then only they reply to confirm haahaa

    But at this point, they have not appointed the positions yet. Anybody know when the training is going to take place? Need to apply leave in advance.

    congrats to all those selected! i saw in the papers some marshals have been sent to aussie for training a couple of weeks ago.

    They do give a allowance de. But volunteer in a sense, they not expect money returns but experience returns lol

    i wrote to them asking if the selected volunteers will be informed of the trainings and stuff like that. they mentioned that a reminder will be sent 3 days before the actual date. however, it's advised to check out the official site for updates.

    guess, we'll have to wait lor. see you guys when the time comes.
